Ride Share

If you don’t have your own transportation, Uber and Lyft are the most convenient and fastest ways to get to Golden from the nearby areas. There are generally drivers around when you need them, but weekday nights can be a little more difficult, so if you’re around late it may be a good idea to check in advance or reserve one.

Rental

Renting your own car has some great benefits, allowing you to tour up into the foothills and around to the breweries and shops that are outside of walking distance from downtown. There are a couple of rental car companies on the west side of Golden near Colorado Mills Mall, but private options may be easier for day trips.

Turo & CarGari are ride share services similar to AirBnb but for cars, and there are many around Denver Golden that you could rent for an afternoon or a multiple days.

Train (RTD Light Rail)

Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) operates light rail and bus server all around the Denver Metro area. Sadly, the closest the W-Line it will take you to Downtown Golden is the Jefferson Country Federal Center, about 3 miles away. We don’t recommend this option unless you want to take a ride share from the last station into downtown or don’t mind a long walk.

Note: Golden is soon employing a new shuttle service that may connect the light rail to downtown! Keep an eye on their website to see if this is available when you travel.

Large Groups & LuXury
