Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?

Yes. Depending on how long before your tour you cancel, you can receive up to a 100% refund. Here’s our official cancellation policy.

How much should we tip our tour guide?

Our tour guides are not street performers and do earn a commission for each tour they lead and will never ask for tips. They do work very hard, though, to learn the stories and to bring them to life for your group, and gratuity is an important part of their income, so if you enjoy your tour and your tour guide, the industry standard is between 5% and 10% of the tour price. Here’s a great article outlining the nuances of tipping a tour guide.

Can we bring our kids?

Yes, mostly.

The only tour not suitable for children is the Golden Ghosts & Spirits Haunted Pub Crawl. All participants must be 21 years old for this tour.

The Wild West Pub Crawl includes drinks at each location but there are non-alcoholic options and the tour can be purchased without drinks included by request. None of the breweries have age restrictions.

We’ve had children of all ages take the Wild West Walking Tours and Pub Crawl. Many of our stories have interactive components and our guides love to play along with kids.

Can I bring my dog?

Usually. It’s always best to check before you book, but in general well-behaved dogs are welcome on most tours.

Walking tours are outdoors, so there are no city or state restrictions and we love to have our furry friends along for those tours.

For Pub Crawls we’re usually outdoors, but some breweries serve food and due to health regulations are not permitted to have dogs indoors. It’s best to check before you register for these tours.

Our Ghost Tours are pub crawls and usually in the dark at night. Dogs are not allowed on these tours, though you are encouraged to bring them out to test our stories on your own.

I use a wheelchair or motorized scooter. Can I still take a tour?

Yes. Our tours follow sidewalks and groomed paths throughout Golden. There are no stairs or big hills. On the Wild West Pub Crawl the beer gardens have a gravel base, but are generally navigable. If you have any special accommodations or requirements, please mention these when you sign up so our guides can prepare accordingly.

Still Unsure?

If you’re unsure if our tours are right for you, let our friends at Romano Tours be your guide. We can only do so much.
