Suspending Tours

In 1918, the Red Cross took over the National Guard Armory Building in Golden (today you may know it as Cafe 13) to run it as an emergency hospital during the influenza epidemic.  One-hundred and two years later, the world is once again in the midst of an epidemic and society and businesses are adjusting to a new way of life.  For Cafe 13, luckily that doesn't mean converting to a hospital; they are are still open in the form of takeout and as a marketplace.  For Golden History Tours, however, we're taking a break while this all blows over.

While we'd love to be out walking the town and telling stories of the Wild West, for the safety of our participants, townspeople, and tour guides, we're suspending tours through the end of May.  As soon as regulations lift and we feel it's safe to get back out in the town, we'll be ready and waiting to take you through the Wild West in one of Colorado's oldest and most historic cities.

If you’re itching to saddle up your horse and get ahead of the posse, reservations are available for the remainder of the summer and into the fall. If you book in advance and for any reason are not able to attend, we offer full refunds up to the day before the tour, so avoid the rush and stake your claim!
